Die Dash ist wie die Bash auch ein Kommandointerpreter, sprich eine Shell.
Allerdings kompatibler mit dem POSIX-Standard, kleiner und schneller als die Bash, und in neueren Debian oder Ubuntu als Systemshell voreingestellt.
/bin/sh ist nur ein Link auf eine Shell, bis jetzt war das in den Distris meist die Bash.

Bei dir würde da jetzt wohl dash stehen.
Mir war das dash-Problem bis jetzt nicht bekannt, deshalb riet ich dir instinktiv zu 'sh -x', aber bowmore hat das ja schon aufgeklärt.
